Customer service
Ive never had issues with customer service before. But recently I mixed up shipping labels, so the two buyers got each others packages. Long story short, buyer A returned the wrong item package. ( they bought a laptop and received a prom dress.) buyer B (bought the dress but received laptop) was on board to return, ended up ignoring me and then blocked me. I contacted mercari about 4 times because all they kept giving me was a tracking number and said that buyer B filed a return. Which I actually requested for buyer B myself. I think it was the 5th time that they actually gave me another response other than about a tracking number. They released the payment to me because they finally read that Buyer B wasnt communicating and wasnt going to return it. Buyer B basically got the 200 laptop for 50 bucks. They cant force the buyer to return. But they wont do anything about that user either. I know its my fault that I mixed up the labels, I owned up to it to the both of the buyers. But there shouldve been a consequence for her action. I love selling on mercari but this just killed it for me. It felt like they just kept blowing me off with each response. Im debating whether its worth taking her to court or not. But for now I got 50 bucks out of this whole situation, lost my laptop, and will no longer sell on mercari. :/
