Mercari: Buying & Selling App App Reviews

Love this app!!! Its fun and safe. I have brought 4 items. As well its addictive lol! The sellers are helpful and even sold two things!! Very nice and diverse :)

I go between Mercari and Posh. Great way to make money without them taking out money like posh. I enjoy it! They are very strict about counterfeit items and scammers.

I havent really had all the problems of previous reviews. I sell things like games, electronics, and clothes. So far so good. Just make sure to do business with people who have good reviews. I have made over $200 so far.

Although I have push notifications enabled on the app and in my phone settings, I never receive any notifications or badges when people comment on my listings. This is really frustrating, as days often go by before I realize a comment was made and only after I decide to go in the app and check. Please fix!

Not happy with this app at all. Dont waste your time . The admins are bullys and dont really review anything .

They removed a listing because they said it was marked as sold. Sold is the name of the book I was trying to sell. They take forever to get back to you.

I have been using this to sell my gently used and new closet items... From homeware to high end purses and jewelry. All was going well and then they started deactivating my items telling me they were not authentic or that I violated their policies... Untrue! The items listed had the appropriate authentication! When I wrote they never responded to my emails/notes requesting explanation. I simply received the same canned message! They wanted me off their site - they revoked all my privileges without cause! So I am off and extremely disappointed. Now building my own site to sell be sure to look for me! Bbball98

I used to love this app, Ive bought tons of things off of here my score is perfect, but you deleted my account saying I have "multiple accounts" when that is not true, I have 1 account and 1 account only. My sister lives at the same address as me and uses mercari so maybe you have mixed us up, but I find it really rude that I didnt receive a warning or message before hand. Very disappointed in you mercari. Please fix. Update Ive tried contacting customer service about this and all you people do is either send me a automated message that does not pertain to me at all or you ignore my messages completely! Very disappointed in mercari!

Needs to have a customer service number or Email!! You cant do this and not have these things! Wish you guys were more like ebay/Amazon

I had a buyer cancel and order right after I sent it. They received the order and after I commented asking for payment they blocked me. I NEVER GOT PAID! I tried to comment on other buyers stuff who had commented on her stuff to warn them, but there is no way to message people. I couldnt report her anywhere. I complained to customer service three times and kept getting the same automated answer. I finally went off on them when I created a post with the buyers picture and page telling other people to not buy from her because she stole from me. They deleted it within 30 seconds saying I couldnt post about other people...and I posted it three times in a row. People responded to the post saying that the same thing happened to them before I couldnt even read all the comments before it was deleted. They sent me a message and I messaged them back and asked why they couldnt give me my money back but they could delete that post so quickly. Automated answer.... I went off on them and they deleted the conversation and never responded. I used to love the app because of the free listing, but I am SO DONE WITH MERC.

At first it seems like a good app. Some good deals here and there, but when you need help from customer service, you get NOTHING! Its computer automated responses. Not people and they are cookie cutter rude messages. Do not recommend cause if you do have a problem you could end up losing your money of something you paid to sell

Tried to order several items & got the run around . Customer service is AWFUL

I’ve been using this app in combination with Poshmark for over a year now and it’s horrible in comparison. The customer service is awful- whenever you have an issue they send something from their FAQ rather than addressing your issue. They randomly delete your listings saying you put the wrong brand or that the item is fake. There’s no “offer” feature so any price negotiations must be done in the comments. People must review you in order for you to receive your money and there’s no regulation- I got a bad review because the girl thought an item could get from MA to FL in 6 hours. Direct deposits take almost a week to go through instead of the usual 3-4 days. Customer service is basically nonexistent. Poshmark may take 20%, but their app is a lot more user-friendly and better organized. Bottom line: mercari is an OK app but you’re better off taking the 20% loss and using poshmark instead.

Love this app! started off just buying things and ended up making extra cash selling some of my own items! Very easy to use! 5 stars!
